Erasmus+ for Higher Education

MOBILITY OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS  AND PERSONNEL

Mobility of university students:

· A period of training in a joint higher education institution abroad;

· An internship at a company abroad or at any other relevant workplace.

- A study abroad period may also include an internship period.

In order to ensure high-quality mobility activities with the greatest impact on university students, the mobility activity needs to meet the learning and personal development needs of these students in connection with the degree. The education period abroad should be part of the learner's short-term, first semester (Bachelor or equivalent), second semester (MSc or equivalent) and third semester or doctorate period. During short term, first, second and third semesters, internships that are carried out in a work place abroad at most one year after the graduation of the university student are also supported. This includes "assistantships" of students who are candidates for teacher training. Where possible, internships should be integrated into the student's educational program. Student motivation can be in any subject or academic discipline.

Staff mobility:

Teaching Periods: This activity allows teaching staff of higher education institutions or personnel from enterprises to teach in a joint higher education institution abroad. Staff motivation for teaching can be any subject or academic discipline.

Educational Periods: This activity promotes the professional development of non-teaching and non-teaching staff of Higher Education Institutions in the form of teaching activities abroad (except conferences) and in the process of on-the-job training / observation in a joint Higher Education Institution or other relevant organization abroad.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE INSTITUTIONS / INSTITUTIONS THAT PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROJECT ?

Participating institutions / organizations involved in the mobility project undertake the following roles and functions:

· Applicant institution: it is obliged to apply to the mobility project, sign, manage and report the grant contract. The applicant organization may be a consortium coordinator: It leads the mobility consortium of partner institutions / organizations from the same country in order to organize all kinds of student and staff mobility.

· Sending organization: it is obliged to select students / staff and send them abroad. This task also includes grant payments, preparation, monitoring and identification of the mobility period.

· Host institution / organization: to accept students / staff from abroad and to provide them with a training / internship or program of activities or to make use of a teaching activity.

· Intermediary institution: an active institution / organization in the fields of education, training and youth work or labor market. It is common for the national mobility consortium, but it is not the sending organization. The role may be to share and facilitate the administrative procedures of the sending higher education institutions and to better match the needs of the student professions with the needs of the internship and to prepare the participants together.

The sender and host institutions / institutions, together with university students / staff, must agree on a "Learning Agreement" or activities to be carried out by the "Mobility Agreement" on the activities to be carried out by these students before the beginning of the mobility period. These agreements describe the target learning outcomes during an educational period abroad, specify official recognition provisions, and list the rights and obligations of each party. If the activity takes place between two higher education institutions (student learning mobility and staff lecture mobility), an "inter-institutional agreement" must be made between the sending and host institutions / institutions before the change starts. By signing the Erasmus Declaration of Higher Education Institutions, higher education institutions undertake to give all necessary support in terms of language preparation to the participants in motion. In order to support them, online language support will be gradually offered to all long-term mobility for two months or longer during the Program. Such support shall be provided by the European Commission to assess the foreign language competences of eligible participants and, where necessary, to teach the most appropriate foreign language in advance of and / or during the mobility of the participant.
